Application advice
Here are a few really simple tips to consider when putting your application together:
- When completing your application, work through the Job Description and Person Specification and balance your experience against the context of the role you are applying for. Generic applications are fairly obvious to spot and never popular.
- You may want to do a rough draft of your application first, and take a second look over it – spelling and grammatical errors happen to everyone in haste.
- Keep a copy of your application so you can review it if you are called to interview. This is also especially useful when you ask for feedback about your application/interview.
- Gather as much information as you can about the school you are applying for and if possible make time to visit, this can be invaluable.
